As an internationally accredited Executive Function Coach and expert Reading Interventionist, I specialize in helping students overcome compounding roadblocks to life skills and academics. I am especially gifted in working with neurodiverse learners and am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach as well as the Unstuck & On Target program.
With my Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University, I taught special education in Texas, South Carolina, and Colorado for 22 years. Throughout my career, I have provided families with clear, science-backed solutions. My unique expertise allows me to address the "whole learner," ensuring that children build the reading and executive function skills required to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Mind & Method EF Coaching
Ages 6 and up
Designed to create steady progress, build lasting habits and reduce daily stress at home, Mind & Method is a neuroscience based Executive Function Coaching program that replaces will power with biological strategy. Working with the child and the family, I create systems that diminish frustration while developing:

The Kinder Booster
Ages 4-6
* Brain-Wiring Play: Science-based sensory games that "pre-wire" the brain for reading success.

The Text Detective
Grades 3 and Up
In The Text Detective, we go beyond literal comprehension to develop the higher order reading skills expected in classrooms from Grade 3 through college. Using games and high-interest, meaningful text, we work on:
* Making predictions, inferences and drawing conclusions: Using text clues to understand meaning that isn't directly written in the text.
* Cause & Effect: Analyzing the direct relationship between an action or event and its consequences.
* Comparing & Contrasting: Looking at two or more characters, settings, or ideas and evaluating the ways they are alike and the ways they are different... and so much more.
